This page provides information about the homologs to the affymetrix exemplar sequences on the arabidopsis ATH-121501 microarray chip. I was quite unhappy with the information provided by affymetrix regarding annotation, so I decided to create a small web-interface that would let me look up the closest homologs for every given probe a bit more easily, and help me decide how much to trust the annotations provided.
The program used to generate all of this data was PhyloGenie (Frickey T., Lupas A. Nucleic Acids Research 2004 32(17):5231-5238).

Please refer to GEO (Gene Expression Omnibus) and/or ArrayExpress for actual microarray datasets. These two sites specialize in providing access to large numbers of MIAME-compliant sets of microarray experiments.
NOTE:If you are using Internet Explorer you may have difficulties viewing the results. This page has been tested and works with any of the more W3C-standards-compliant browsers (such as Mozilla, Firefox, Opera or Safari (Mac)).
Retreive precomputed information for the following Affymetrix probe ID
Enter an Affymetrix identifier (i.e. '261271_at')
or At-identifier (i.e. 'At1g26795')
NOTE: examples refer to the Arabidopsis ATH1-121501 chip.

Search on chip (i.e. Arabidopsis chip ATH1-121501):
Here you can specify various strings that will be searched for in the phylogenetic tree and highlighted by colors (yellow and red).
(example: you use the Arabidopsis sequence identifier "261271_at" as a query, selected the Arabidopsis chip and want to have all Arabidopsis sequences in the tree colored in yellow and all sequences from Rice and Poplar colored in red (enter "Arabidopsis" in the right box and "Oryza ; Populus" in the left)).
RED: YELLOW:

NOTE: Not all At-identifiers are present on the affy chip, and therefore not all At-identifiers can be mapped to affymetrix identifiers. Results can be retreived ONLY for the gene-identifiers with corresponding affymetrix-id's. LIST
